Praying- by Kesha

Well, you almost had me fooled
Told me that I was nothing without you
Oh, but after everything you’ve done
I can thank you for how strong I have become

‘Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I’ll just say this is “I wish you farewell”

I hope you’re somewhere prayin’, prayin’
I hope your soul is changin’, changin’
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin’

I’m proud of who I am
No more monsters, I can breathe again
And you said that I was done
Well, you were wrong and now the best is yet to come
‘Cause I can make it on my own
And I don’t need you, I found a strength I’ve never known
I’ll bring thunder, I’ll bring rain, oh
When I’m finished, they won’t even know your name

You brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for myself
And we both know all the truth I could tell
I’ll just say this is “I wish you farewell”

I hope you’re somewhere prayin’, prayin’
I hope your soul is changin’, changin’
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin’

Oh, sometimes, I pray for you at night
Someday, maybe you’ll see the light
Oh, some say, in life, you’re gonna get what you give
But some things only God can forgive

I hope you’re somewhere prayin’, prayin’
I hope your soul is changin’, changin’
I hope you find your peace
Falling on your knees, prayin’

🎶🎶Music🎶🎶

Music has always been my thing.

I've wanted to learn to play an instrument but only partially learned guitar years ago. So I live for music created by others.
These all are definitions that define me.

When I am sad…..there is music.
When I am happy……there is music.
When I am mad……..there is music.
When I am elated……there is music.
When I am deflated…..there is music.
When I am in love…….there is music.
When I am broken hearted…..there is music.
When I am searching……there is music.

No matter what, music is always there for me. It doesn't lie, cheat, leave, hate, or judge me. It's just THERE.

I have a hard time understanding people who do not understand music.

I can speak back and forth to someone with nothing but shared songs. And if they get me, THEY GET ME.

It is good for your soul, good for your mind, good for your heart.

When my mind is going a million miles an hour, I have my music to lean on. And those who understand it, understand me.

There is something magical about losing yourself in the sound of music.
There is even music in the non-silence of a silent night in the hammock.

So find your musical magic. And if your magic isn't music, FIND YOUR MAGIC.

It is well with my soul. ❤️

SPOTLIGHT: Tupperware!

Tupperware is something us thirty-somethings all remember from our childhood. Our moms and grandmothers had it. We had cups and plates and the whole nine yards. It’s weird how something like that can be stuck in your head as a memory.

It’s because Tupperware is a household staple. There is no comparison between true Tupperware and all the imitations you can buy at the local Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart brand doesn’t have those memories attached.

I recently rediscovered Tupperware through all of my networking friends on Facebook.

I literally had no idea they still had Tupperware “parties.” Sure they now come in all shapes and sizes including FACEBOOK parties where you don’t have to serve snacks or even get dressed, but guess what? ITS STILL THE SAME AWESOME TUPPERWARE!

So being the direct sales supporter that I am, I had my first Tupperware Party on Facebook this week! Siarra Jones, the Tupperware lady (that’s what we’ve always called them!), made it super simple! She did all the work, i just invited my family and friends. Super easy. She was great with communication, keeping me informed of everything along the way. You can find Siarra’s Tupperware Group on Facebook at Siarra’s Totally Tupperware and host your own quick and easy party! Tell her I sent you! She’ll take good care of all my friends!

As a hostess I earned free product and half price product! This is what I got from my little party!

I am so excited to try my classic Tupperware! My favorite is that bottom right hand corner, Breakfast Maker! You can make an omelette or two single eggs in the microwave!!! And they just slide right out! Finally a way to get my eggs for breakfast on those too-short weekday mornings!

My Purpose with Senegence

I wrote before how I found Senegence(Lipsense) and how it is what God put in my life to use as a ministry to women who just need a little help (or a lot).

To feel empowered

To have the extra money they need to stay home with their kiddos

To survive as a single mom

To feel good and productive when limited options are available

To just have something girly in their life (I’ve got two sons!)

To feel beautiful, healthy and loved.

To have someone to talk to when they need an unbiased ear (or prayer)

To help that struggling family make ends meet

To give them the sisterhood we have in Senegence

And to just be PRESENT for them when maybe no one else is.

I am not a stranger to pain, heartache, medical problems, singlemomhood, boymomhood, low self esteem, having no one to listen or understand, to anxiety, depression and PTSD, to verbal, physical and emotional abuse, to being a full time working single mom.

I am here. And I can help. In so many ways. Reach out to me, and don’t be surprised if I notice a need and reach out to YOU.

Yes it is makeup. Yes it’s a direct sales company. Yes I am human. But this company has been an amazing tool to help women so far and I pray it continues as long as my God wants it to.

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE LOVED. YOU ARE WORTH IT. YOU CAN DO IT. YOU WILL DO IT. 💙💙

Much much more my friends!!!

My Boys

G and J.

How can I narrow down my favorite two humans life into one blog post? I’ll tell you about them and then you’ll obviously see us on our journey.

G is my first born son. He was born in September 2007. Right after I turned 27. He had tons of hair and it was down to his collar bone! He was the absolute cutest thing in the world. And I do not think all babies are cute (don’t lie, you don’t either.)

Watching him grow has been a wonderful experience as he has started learning his personality, at almost 10 years old now.

He likes reading, video games, music, movies and Mexican food !

J is a light in this world. If you’d ever met him you’d know this boy knows no strangers. He adores babies, animals and old people!

He was born in June after a horrible pregnancy. 2010. He was full term but something went wrong that no one can explain. He was ok and I held him after my csection. Then they said his blood sugar was low and they were gonna take him to NICU to get it up. Well somehow on the way there the problem changed to having a pneumothorax (hole in his lung). He spent two weeks in NICU going from ventilator, to hood oxygen, to high flow, to normal and then out the door! He had wires and feeding tubes and lines everywhere. The nurse in me fled my body and left nothing but a terrified mommy behind.

However he was the fattest baby in NICU at 9lbs 5oz. :). This child of mine was the cherub style cute. With all his rolls and beautiful blue eyes.

He still couldn’t catch a break though. Now he has ADHD and it has hindered him so much at school. But we work hard to overcome it between home and school. It comes with a lot of trials on this journey of ours.

He just turned 7! Now he is a healthy always happy gentle sweet boy who is a great little dancer and singer!

Who Am I?

My first thought was….I should introduce myself. People want to know whose thoughts and life they are reading about. Right?

Well I hope so at least.

Over the years I’ve tried blogging for different reasons but never kept up with it for long. I did have one that was personal for things I had written like poems and short stories long ago that I kept up with for a good year to year and a half. But that was the most I’ve done.

This blog. This blog is my new home. My place to talk about things I find important. And I hope and pray it brings light or empowerment to women everywhere.

That is my goal. That is my WHY for my personal business and my blog. I had been praying and praying for something fulfilling to come into my life.

Funny thing, I was on YouTube randomly watching things as is my norm.  When lo and behold I come across a video by a woman named Heather Shriver Burns. For those who do not know, she is a Crown Princess in the company I work for. She’s not MY crown princess but I still respect her and her videos greatly. Anyway. I was watching her video about Senegence. And it was flooded with faith. I cried. I knew right that second God brought me to that video for a purpose. She was His tool to open my eyes to the opportunity.

I have zero doubt that God has placed me in this Senegence business because it is my place for ministry.

Now keep with me here.

Yes, I believe fully God wants me to play with makeup as my ministry in life for HIM.

This business has and will continue to place me in the path and friendships of more women than I could have ever connected with in my small little personal world.

So my business is to serve the Lord by talking about my faith, and helping women become empowered in their businesses and strong in their faith. Maybe even to encourage them to use their business in the same way.

I absolutely love what I do. Probably because I’m doing it for the right reasons. Am I making tons of money? Nope. But that’s not what God told me to do. He will provide and He will prosper what and when He wants. I’m here following the Leader.

I plan on collaborating with other direct sale businesses with reviews on my blog. There is almost nothing more important to a business than networking and collaborating to build relationships and a community of support.

Now about who I am other than a very outspoken Christian.

I am a 37 year old Texan. I have two sweet boys G is almost 10 and J. Just turned 7! Boy does time fly. Until all the ducks are in a row, I work as a director at a home health agency. I’ve been an RN since 2002. My relationship with my God has grown leaps and bounds the last year and grows more intimate daily. We have a sweet dog named Maggie and a big fat old cat named Jinx.

I’m always available to talk! Whether it be about my faith or my business, or even if you just need someone to listen. People have forgotten what true friendship is. I value friendship so much the older I get.

Live with purpose.

Welcome to my Journey.
